Global, time-bound
coalition: turbocharging
industrial decarbonisation
solutions by 2026.

Launched in December 2023 at the COP28 World Climate Action Summit, the ITA is a global multistakeholder collaboration with an initial three-year mandate to unlock investments and turbocharge the delivery of decarbonisation solutions across heavy industry and transport.

Delivery-focused: progressing the pipeline of net-zero-aligned projects

The ITA Secretariat, hosted by the Mission Possible Partnership (MPP), brings industry producers and their customers together with policymakers, financial sectors, and technical experts to accelerate heavy industry commercial-scale decarbonisation projects so that they reach final investment approval by 2026.

Building on the pre-existing landscape: targeted actions that can drive scale

Our work plan is born from extensive research and consultation with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that it builds on the rich landscape of pre-existing activities, rather than replicating them. We focus on specific actions that can drive scale and pace in the project pipeline and help move sectors to their tipping points to decarbonise.
